What's new?

2026-10-17 — Selection membership

  • Selections per LOD — each LOD lists all named selections (with point/face counts)
  • Shared vertices — selections that cover the same vertex set on a LOD are grouped together.
  • Proxy attachments — proxies are nested under the parent selection that contains their points (e.g. codelock under a door).

2026-10-16 — Public API & expansion filter

  • Public API v1 — GET /v1/ for search, model metadata, and preview image redirects. CORS-enabled, no API key. Docs: api-docs.php. Rate limits: 60 JSON req/min and 120 preview redirects/min per IP (plus daily caps).
  • Expansion filter — Pack chips for Vanilla / Livonia / Takistan / Sakhal (path-based). Multi-select via ?exp= on the site and /v1/search. Sakhal is no longer hard-hidden.

2026-10-15 — DayZ 1.30

  • Updated to DayZ 1.30 — re-indexed against the 1.30 game data (ODOL v56): 10,616 models, including 2,433 new ones, mostly the new Takistan buildings, characters, plants, rocks, gear and weapons.
  • Turntable previews for new models — rendered for new 1.30 content; browse-list thumbnails now fall back to a turntable frame when Sam's / iZurvive have no image.
  • Known gaps — 49 new models can't be converted yet and show as errors; 180 older models that the new converter can't read still show their 1.29 data.
  • Faster search indexing — rebuilding the search index now takes seconds instead of minutes.

2026-08-04

  • Turntable previews — experimental server-rendered 360° previews for indexed models (starting with gear/containers).
  • Turntable controls — drag to rotate, scroll to zoom, double-click to reset zoom.
  • Pop-out turntable — open the preview in a larger separate window via the ↗ button.

How to view in 3D

View the full in-game model (all LODs, materials, and selections) in Object Builder and Buldozer from DayZ Tools.

Add a proxy in Object Builder

  1. Open Object Builder from DayZ Tools.
  2. File → New to start a blank map (or open a map you already use for previews).
  3. Create → Proxy
  4. Enter the model path:
    \dz\structures_bliss\industrial\dieselpowerplant\dieselpowerplant_tank_small.p3d
  5. Confirm — the proxy appears in the scene. Select it and move it above the ground if needed.

Launch Buldozer (3D preview)

  1. Press the Play button on the Object Builder toolbar — Buldozer opens with your proxy model in the scene.

Buldozer controls

  • Mouse: look around.
  • W / A / S / D: move.
  • Q / E: move down / up.
  • Shift: move faster.
  • Esc: close Buldozer and return to Object Builder.
